Although Alertline’s overall environmental footprint is relatively small, we are taking clear steps to reduce it even further. Through significant modernization and the digitization of our services, we are developing more sustainable security solutions for the future. As a recognized industry leader, joining the Science Based Targets initiative was a natural progression in our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
Prioritizing Emissions Reduction
The Alertline Group environmental policy, reviewed and updated annually, sets clear emissions standards for our company vehicles. As of July 1, 2022, any newly purchased company car must emit no more than 155 grams of CO₂ per kilometer based on the WLTP measurement standard (or 120 grams using the NEDC method). For minivans, the limit is 195 grams under WLTP (165 grams under NEDC), while for patrol vehicles, pickups, and 4WDs, the maximum is 200 grams (170 grams under NEDC).
Our long-term goal is to systematically lower the emissions produced by all company-owned and leased cars and minivans across our global operations.

Avoiding harmful substances, with a focus on replacing hazardous materials with safer, eco-friendlier alternatives—even if this incurs higher costs
Supporting recycling efforts and ensuring that all waste is managed in a secure and environmentally sound way
A fundamental aspect of our policy is strict compliance with all relevant laws, international agreements, and regulatory requirements affecting our operations.
Local Action for Global Impact
In addition to our global policies, Alertline carries out local environmental initiatives designed to enhance our environmental performance. These include favoring virtual meetings over business travel, switching to renewable energy for office heating and cooling, recycling materials such as paper, and moving from printed manuals to digital resources like web-based guides and training tools.
Alertline and CDP Participation
Alertline has been submitting climate data to CDP—a global disclosure system focused on climate action—since 2011. In 2022, we earned a “C” rating, which aligns with both the average for the “Commercial and Consumer Services” sector and the overall global average. This rating reflects our transparency and performance in climate change mitigation, adaptation strategies, and data disclosure.
